Dione is a prophetic Titan-goddess in Greek mythology, known for co-presiding over the Oracle at Dodona alongside Zeus. She had the gift of prophecy and was revered for her ability to foretell the future. According to some accounts, Dione is considered to be the mother of the goddess Aphrodite. However, it's important to note that the origin of Aphrodite varies in different myths. While some stories attribute Aphrodite's birth to Dione, others depict her as being born from the sea foam. Despite the differing accounts of Aphrodite's parentage, Dione remains a significant figure in Greek mythology due to her association with prophecy and her role in the sacred Oracle at Dodona.

Our vermeil is a layer of fine 24ct gold, plated on top of silver. As this is just a layer it can gradually wear, giving the appearance that it has faded. Every day wear may speed up this process, especially on items like rings and bracelets which have lots of contact knocking against objects. We offer a re-plating service for our vermeil jewelry.
Perfume, sweat, skin and hair products can all react with silver causing it to tarnish, cause vermeil to erode and even damage stones – especially pearls. Always apply your products before putting on your jewellery and leave for a few minutes to be absorbed by the skin. Avoid spraying perfume or hairspray directly onto your jewelry as this can damage it.

This piece is completely handmade with lost wax casting method. It’s the process where Hespérides take a hand-carved wax model and turn it into a finished piece in precious metal.
