Helios pendant is handcrafted from 925 sterling silver with 24k gold vermeil, featuring a yellow beryl and a citrine chain.
Helios, the Titan god of the sun, was revered as the guardian of oaths and the divine embodiment of sight. From his golden palace at the edge of Oceanus, crowned with radiant light, he guided his four-winged chariot across the sky, bringing forth the dawn. At dusk, he journeyed west to the realm of the Hesperides, carried eastward again in a golden cup over the northern streams of Oceanus. Helios embodies brilliance, vision, and the eternal cycle of renewal.

Our vermeil is a layer of fine 24ct gold, plated on top of silver. As this is just a layer it can gradually wear, giving the appearance that it has faded. Every day wear may speed up this process, especially on items like rings and bracelets which have lots of contact knocking against objects. We offer a re-plating service for our vermeil jewelry.
Perfume, sweat, skin and hair products can all react with silver causing it to tarnish, cause vermeil to erode and even damage stones – especially pearls. Always apply your products before putting on your jewellery and leave for a few minutes to be absorbed by the skin. Avoid spraying perfume or hairspray directly onto your jewelry as this can damage it.

This piece is completely handmade with lost wax casting method. It’s the process where Hespérides take a hand-carved wax model and turn it into a finished piece in precious metal.
