The Aphrodite Ring is crafted from 925 sterling silver and 24k gold vermeil. Completely handmade and set with a freshwater pearl.
In Greek mythology, pearls were said to be the joyful tears of Aphrodite, goddess of love, making them sacred to the ancients. Pearls were also linked to Isis, the goddess of healing, embodying purity and divine protection.
Aphrodite, later identified with the Roman Venus, was not only the goddess of love and beauty but also of fertility and marriage, often worshipped as a deity of the sea and seafaring.
The Aphrodite Pearl Ring reflects this legacy, a jewel born from the sea, carrying the dual essence of passion and serenity, love and renewal.

Our vermeil is a layer of fine 24ct gold, plated on top of silver. As this is just a layer it can gradually wear, giving the appearance that it has faded. Every day wear may speed up this process, especially on items like rings and bracelets which have lots of contact knocking against objects. We offer a re-plating service for our vermeil jewelry.
Perfume, sweat, skin and hair products can all react with silver causing it to tarnish, cause vermeil to erode and even damage stones – especially pearls. Always apply your products before putting on your jewellery and leave for a few minutes to be absorbed by the skin. Avoid spraying perfume or hairspray directly onto your jewelry as this can damage it.

This piece is completely handmade with lost wax casting method. It’s the process where Hespérides take a hand-carved wax model and turn it into a finished piece in precious metal.
