Elysium
Elysium Ring is crafted from recycled 925 sterling silver and 24k gold vermeil. Completely handmade and set with a ceylon sapphire and a songea sapphire.
Elysium, also known as the Elysian fields, was the closest concept of heaven in Greek mythology. However, it was not accessible to everyone, as it was an exclusive place reserved only for Gods, their mortal family members, and heroes. Although Elysium's population eventually became more diverse over time, it remained distinct from where ordinary mortal souls would go after death. This idea of Elysium reflected the ancient Greeks' belief in a special afterlife destination where only select individuals with close ties to the divine were granted entry as a reward for their exceptional deeds.

CARE
Our vermeil is a layer of fine 24ct gold, plated on top of silver. As this is just a layer it can gradually wear, giving the appearance that it has faded. Every day wear may speed up this process, especially on items like rings and bracelets which have lots of contact knocking against objects. We offer a re-plating service for our vermeil jewelry.
Perfume, sweat, skin and hair products can all react with silver causing it to tarnish, cause vermeil to erode and even damage stones – especially pearls. Always apply your products before putting on your jewellery and leave for a few minutes to be absorbed by the skin. Avoid spraying perfume or hairspray directly onto your jewelry as this can damage it.

This piece is completely handmade with lost wax casting method. It’s the process where Hespérides take a hand-carved wax model and turn it into a finished piece in precious metal.
