The Khonsu Ring is made from 925 sterling silver and 24k gold vermeil. Completely handmade and set with hand-carved lapis lazuli.
Khonsu, the ancient Egyptian god of the Moon, was known as “the traveler”, a name born from the moon’s nightly journey across the sky. As the bringer of light in darkness, Khonsu was invoked for protection and healing.
It was believed that when he illuminated the new moon, women conceived, herds grew fertile, and breath filled with purity.
The Khonsu Ring carries this celestial legacy, a piece that reflects the moon’s power to guide, protect, and renew.

Our vermeil is a layer of fine 24ct gold, plated on top of silver. As this is just a layer it can gradually wear, giving the appearance that it has faded. Every day wear may speed up this process, especially on items like rings and bracelets which have lots of contact knocking against objects. We offer a re-plating service for our vermeil jewelry.
Perfume, sweat, skin and hair products can all react with silver causing it to tarnish, cause vermeil to erode and even damage stones – especially pearls. Always apply your products before putting on your jewellery and leave for a few minutes to be absorbed by the skin. Avoid spraying perfume or hairspray directly onto your jewelry as this can damage it.

This piece is completely handmade with lost wax casting method. It’s the process where Hespérides take a hand-carved wax model and turn it into a finished piece in precious metal.
