Tillu pendant is handcrafted from 925 sterling silver with 24k gold vermeil, featuring an antique Murano glass and a red coral chain.
The form of this necklace is inspired by a Mesopotamian artifact dating back to the 3rd millennium BCE. Tillu is a modern interpretation of an everyday object that once held both practical and symbolic significance.
The name comes from a common female name found in Sumerian and Akkadian records. Tillu represents the women artisans who played a role in both domestic production and the crafting of objects dedicated to temples.
This necklace bridges past and present reviving a historic silhouette with a contemporary sensibility. The contrast between the ancient-shaped frame, colorful Murano glass, and vivid coral brings timeless balance into focus.

Our vermeil is a layer of fine 24ct gold, plated on top of silver. As this is just a layer it can gradually wear, giving the appearance that it has faded. Every day wear may speed up this process, especially on items like rings and bracelets which have lots of contact knocking against objects. We offer a re-plating service for our vermeil jewelry.
Perfume, sweat, skin and hair products can all react with silver causing it to tarnish, cause vermeil to erode and even damage stones – especially pearls. Always apply your products before putting on your jewellery and leave for a few minutes to be absorbed by the skin. Avoid spraying perfume or hairspray directly onto your jewelry as this can damage it.

This piece is completely handmade with lost wax casting method. It’s the process where Hespérides take a hand-carved wax model and turn it into a finished piece in precious metal.
